Publishing your game on GameVui

Any HTML5 game that runs in a browser can be published: plain JS, Phaser, PixiJS, Construct, Godot (Web), Unity WebGL...

1. Workflow

  1. Sign in with your Genify account and click New game.
  2. Fill in the title, description, categories and thumbnail.
  3. Upload a .zip build. Use Test play to check it exactly as players will see it.
  4. The GameVui team reviews the build. Once approved, the game goes live on the hub.
  5. To update, upload a new build. The current version stays live until the new one is approved.

2. Build requirements

  • A .zip file (max 100 MB) with index.html at the root, or inside a single top-level folder.
  • Use relative paths for assets (assets/hero.png, not /assets/hero.png).
  • Max 3000 files, 500 MB unpacked. No symlinks or password-protected archives.
  • Pre-compressed Unity builds (.br / .gz) are not supported yet: build with Compression Format: Disabled (or enable “Decompression Fallback”).

3. Sandbox

Games run in a sandboxed iframe (allow-scripts allow-pointer-lock) with an isolated origin. That means no cookies, localStorage, popups, or top-level navigation. Keep progress in memory, and load assets with fetch/XHR as usual (the server sends CORS headers for your files).

4. HubSDK (optional)

Include the SDK to send scores to the GameVui leaderboard:

<script src="/games/hub-sdk.js"></script>
<script>
  HubSDK.gameplayStart();          // a round starts
  HubSDK.submitScore(1234);        // a round ends: integer score >= 0
  HubSDK.gameplayStop();           // paused / back in menu
  HubSDK.happyTime(); // big moment (new record, level up...)
</script>

The leaderboard keeps each player’s best score; higher is better.

5. Review guidelines

  • The game loads and is playable on desktop (and on mobile if you ticked “Playable on mobile”).
  • No malware, crypto-mining, phishing, adult or hateful content.
  • No external ads or tracking scripts without prior agreement.
  • You own or have the rights to all code, art and audio in the build.
